A name, telephone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the results. Our servers do not retain a copy of those searches. When you contact us, we receive the information included in your message and use it to respond.
Information Collected Automatically
The hosting service maintains standard logs that may include an IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. We review this information in aggregate to monitor site operation and understand page use. Basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement may rely on cookies or similar technologies.

Information submitted on those services is governed by their privacy policies, not this one. The same rule applies to sponsored results furnished by a third-party company. Official public records are controlled by their custodians under laws including the Iowa Open Records Law, Iowa Code chapter 22.

Hosting and support providers process server logs on our behalf. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatically collected information described above. Information is otherwise disclosed only when required by valid legal process.
Safeguarding Your Information

Because we retain very little, a request will generally involve checking the contact mailbox and available server logs, then removing information when applicable. Public records held by Cedar Falls, Black Hawk County, or Iowa agencies remain outside our control, so questions about those records must go to the responsible custodian.
